The most fierce rivalry in the heavyweight division of boxing would be between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. They squared off inside the ring thrice throughout their careers. The first resulted in a draw, while the following two fights were won by ‘The Gypsy King’. UFC color commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan recently discussed the rivalry between the two, and he rather made some intriguing comments about it.
Joe Rogan is a seasoned UFC commentator, but he closely follows boxing as well. He often shares his opinions about boxers in his podcast. In a recent episode of his show, Rogan was discussing Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder with his guest, Sean O’Malley.

Rogan went on to say, “Any other world, Deontay is the unified champion probably, like if Tyson Fury doesn’t exist. Because he’s got that power, it’s just, everybody goes out except for Tyson Fury.”
Deontay Wilder is undoubtedly one of the strongest boxers in the world and is currently regarded as the hardest puncher in boxing. However, Fury has outperformed Wilder and emerged as the superior fighter thanks to his massive frame and technique.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ had taken a hiatus from the sport since his defeat to Fury. But he just made a remarkable comeback and defeated Robert Helenius in the first round. The WBC then arranged for Wilder to battle Mexican heavyweight boxer Andy Ruiz Jr. The victor of this bout will have the opportunity to take against Tyson Fury for the WBC title.
Tyson Fury, on the other hand, is currently focussing on his December 3rd bout against Derek Chisora. The trilogy clash will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. But there’s a much bigger fight coming up for Fury that would probably take place in 2023.
