Floyd Mayweather Once Made Bold Claims Ahead of His Wrestling Match Against 441-Pound Giant: “I Will Run the WWE”

Floyd Mayweather has reigned over boxing like no other fighter ever did. He has been in the sport for over 20 years, and he still stands tall with his perfect 50-0 record. Over the years, he has also made appearances in the WWE. Take a look at when he made a bold statement about running the WWE.

As per BOXINGSCENEMayweather was set to face Big Show at WWE’s “WrestleMania XXIV” on march 30. Before his big event at Citrus Bowl in Orlando, the pound-for-pound king stated in a news conference, “It’s entertainment. You have a chance to just be you and do what you want to do. Wrestling takes care of business right on the spot. Whatever they say they’re going to do, they do it right on the spot. There’s no waiting three, four, five months. Quick results, quick money. Quick big money, too.”

Furthermore, ‘Money’ made a bold statement and said, ”I run Vegas and I run L.A. and I will run the WWE. WWE is the biggest it gets. This is going to be an event like none other.”

Mayweather’s remarks certainly show that he likes how things are done in the WWE. This heated chat went on for a while as WWE stars Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, and Edge were present at the time.

Boxing fans witnessed history on August 26, 2017, as the biggest boxer and the biggest UFC fighter squared off inside the ring. The fight between Mayweather and Conor McGregor took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the titans fought in front of a sold-out crowd. Eventually, ‘Money’ won the fight in the 10th round, extending his record to a perfect 50-0.

The Irish superstar is currently inactive in the sport due to an injury. There are possibilities that he would return and fight Mayweather for a massive $130 million worth event. Fans are already excited to see the two legends fight inside the ring again.
