Emotional Stephen Curry Fires Up Ex-NBA Champion as Draymond Green Receives Harsh Verdict on Warriors Future

On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Orlando Magic 101-93 in a fiercely fought game despite Draymond Green’s quick ejection. During the match, Stephen Curry got clearly emotional after Green’s ejection in the first quarter. Green is second all-time in the NBA for ejections, and he has a history of getting into heated arguments with officials. However, he was in a league of his own yesterday, and no one seems to know why. It was ejection number four for Green this season.
Because Green has been getting himself booted out of games more often as of late, Steph Curry and head coach Steve Kerr were clearly frustrated with him. Many felt that Dray’s indefinite ban earlier this season for a string of violent and risky actions embarrassed him. Green even avoided major offenses since returning, but he’s already a source of frustration for his fellow players and himself. Over this, ex-NBA champion, Kendrick Perkins also had few words for Green.

After the match, certain match clips of Green were displayed over which Perkins reacted. As per him, the way things are going on right now, looks like the Warriors will not be re-signing Green. He thinks it’s time for Draymond Green to leave the Warriors. But Curry thinks otherwise.
After Green’s ejection, Curry, who had been standing by Dray’s side to prevent the ejection, became clearly frustrated. He seemed to be wiping away tears as he shook his head and covered his face with his jersey.

According to Steph, the Warriors can’t win without Green in the lineup. “All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that,” Curry claimed after the match. “Whatever it takes to keep him on the floor — him be available — that’s what’s got to happen, especially at this point in the year.”
Dray was the rock upon which Warrior’s defense relied for many years, but that was then, and this is now.
Draymond Green’s uncertain future with Warriors

Being a part of the first Warriors dynasty has given Draymond the green light in the NBA, where he can confront anyone—from his opponents to the referees to the online fans.
Nowadays, Green’s behavior is different from what it used to be, so the Warriors can’t afford to ignore his conduct and keep relying on their Big Three all the way to the finish. His future is now more uncertain than it was before the season, which was trying for him on and off the court.
General manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. is attempting to put together the best team for Curry’s last seasons with the Warriors. But if Draymond fails to learn discipline and the team fails to thrive, a startling split might occur this summer. Even a four-time champion like Draymond Green may be moved if the Warriors are in a real hurry.

Although the Warriors are now in the midst of a season-long wait, this is hardly the score they had hoped for with Thompson, Curry, and Green on the lineup.
