Dwyane Wade and Mark Cuban may have patched things up but things are still far from pretty. The duo has forgotten their differences that were created more than a decade ago. However, it seems that the two are still not ready to be seen in the same room. Wade’s recent response to the possibility of entering ‘Shark Tank’ testifies to this assumption.
The 3x NBA champion was recently on SXSW 2024, where he was asked if he could see himself as a shark on ‘Shark Tank’. “I have never thought about it… I don’t know if my business portfolio is that extensive yet,” Wade replied. He further mentioned that they (Shark Tank) have never asked him as well. “Mark Cuban is still on the show so they never ask me…Dallas, Miami…,” he stated.
However, there were also talks on the show of Cuban possibly leaving Shark Tank. “I may get a call then… they won’t call me while Mark Cuban was on the show. We just started speaking recently,” Wade said about this possibility. It is worth mentioning that Cuban has been on Shark Tank since Season 2.

But he is most likely to bid farewell to the show by 2025, which will be the 16th season of the show. And it would be understandable as a reason if Shark Tank did not call Dwyane Wade because of him since the two have had a long-standing feud.

Wade had played a key role in his team’s victory back then. However, Mark, rather than acknowledging Miami and Wade’s game, blamed the officiating for tainting the series.

In fact, a $250,000 fine was imposed on Cuban for his comments. He still did not back down from his comments and told the Bleacher Report back then, “I mean, look, I don’t think anybody will doubt we had it taken from us.” He further added, “A different set of referees, a different outcome.”

It is said that Wade and the Heat were not happy with Cuban’s comments. And this is when differences between Wade and Cuban emerged. However, recently both of them settled their differences. Mark even said that he now respects Wade. Moreover, Wade’s chances of entering Shark Tank should not be affected in any way by Cuban now since he will most likely be leaving the show next season.
