Confetti rained upon the Kansas City Chiefs after Patrick Mahomes led the team to a triumphant 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The game reached its climax as the Chiefs rallied, forcing overtime with Harrison Butker’s clutch 29-yarder. Despite the pressure, the team didn’t disappoint, clinching their second straight Super Bowl win. It’s been rare for the Chiefs to disappoint with Mahomes on the roster. Recently, a 2x NBA champion expressed his unwavering faith in the team as he reflected on the intensity of the game.
In the recent episode of “Bully Ball,” former Golden State Warriors player DeMarcus Cousins was joined by Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo. While speaking of the big game’s tense moments, the host asked Rondo whether he was nervous. In response, Rondo declared, “Nope, As long as it was time left on the clock uh I felt my homie was going to get it done. That’s a scary thing when he has more than two minutes. I mean it’s it can get ugly.”

While Cousins was disappointed and believed the San Francisco 49ers were the “better” team, he was also stunned while watching the Chiefs. “I’m a little disappointed. On paper, I felt like the Niners were a better team but in my gut, and just seeing everything leading up to the Super Bowl, I was like I got a feeling the Chiefs are going to pull this out.”
The Kansas City Chiefs have clinched their third Super Bowl victory in five years, and a historic achievement, making them the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions in two decades. Veteran tight end Travis Kelce had a singular catch in the first half but bounced back in the second half with nine receptions and 93 yards.
