We was at the game and he was like, “You left me this sh*t?” And I was like “what?” And he said again, “You left me this sh*t??”. He was pointing at Jeremy Lin and I was like “Oh..sh*t.”“.
Jeff Teague explains Kobe didn’t hesitate before talking about his own teammates if he didn’t respect them. The ex-Celtics star clarifies that he admired Kobe but he definitely was intimidated by Kobe’s ‘alter ego’ on the court.
Kobe Bryant’s alter ego after winning 3 NBA championships
Bryant’s “cold-blooded killer” mentality, known as ‘Mamba Mentality’, only started developing after his first 3 NBA championship victories.

Bryant had won 3 NBA championships and even the coveted MVP award after only being in the league for 7 years. This reportedly made him start “losing his edge” and so, the Black Mamba worked even harder to keep himself self-motivated. With the help of his legendary performance coach, Todd Herman, Kobe developed an alter ego since he was in need of a new identity (to achieve more NBA success). After years of on-court and off-court practice and approaching the game in an extremely mental way, the late Laker legend achieved what he set his mind to.
By the end of his career, he won 3 more MVPs, 2 Finals MVPs, and 2 more NBA championships. So his experimental approach to the game definitely worked.
