Reed failed to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. If he had won, he would be representing his country inside the steel structure. So following his defeat, Bronson Reed took to Twitter where he confessed that he had always wanted to be a part of a big WWE match in his home country and even though the company is going to Australia for the Elimination Chamber, he will not be wrestling there. Further claiming he had failed his people, himself, and his family, he wrote an apology that read, “My whole life I dreamed of wrestling on a @WWE PLE in my home country. I’ve failed my people, myself and my family. Sorry.”

The former NXT North American Champion made his way to Raw in December, 2022. A month later, he defeated Dolph Ziggler to qualify for a shot at the United States Championship. This time, the opportunity to headline in his home country eluded him by a narrow margin.

It was a tough battle between the two giants. Bronson Reed escaped a hurt lock early in the match, and he also had the upper hand when Lashley charged at the Australian, but the latter dodged him causing Lashley to hit the corner post and fall to the ringside. Reed then jumped on him, and the impact caused Bobby to be thrown over the public barrier.
Then he further punished Lashley with various clotheslines. Lashley charged at his opponent in one of the corners which Reed countered with a Fireman’s Carry Slam for a near fall. The Australian later avoided a spear to counterattack with a slam, followed by a senton. And as Reed climbed to the top of the corner, Lashley went after him and threw him to the canvas. A spear ended it all for Bronson Reed, as the match sounded off with a 1..2..3.
