While being one of the biggest heels in the WWE, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has fans excited for potential future feuds. One of these involves revisiting one of his most iconic feuds with a well-known WWE figure. However, recently, on social media, The Rock broke his heel persona while talking about that storied rivalry and praising the person in question. While this is a feud fans would love to see at WrestleMania XL or later, this break in character came out of left field.

The Rock calls Triple H his brother on social media

The Rock vs Triple H feud etched its beginnings in the late 90s and evolved in the early 2000s. Loved by the fans, Johnson hinted at continuing this feud at the WrestleMania XL Kick-off event in Las Vegas. Post his appearance on stage, he barked orders at The Game backstage to “fix it.” While Hunter is the Head of Content, Johnson sits on the board of TKO Group Holdings. While the Hollywood star does have superiority, thanks to his position, Hunter was quick to shoot down his power in the WWE. This excited fans till Johnson took to social media and said, “Boundless respect to my brother @TripleH. Blood, sweat and ‘thanks for the house.”

 This is entirely out of character for a heel Rock, especially after their interaction during the Kick-off event. While the WWE wants to present Johnson as the biggest heel in the company, it is clear that the WWE legend doesn’t want to keep kayfabe anymore.

With Dwayne Johnson joining The Bloodline, fans are hoping he will stay post-WrestleMania XL.  However, if not, fans want to see The Rock and Triple H feud one more time to bring their history together to a close.

While Hunter is not cleared for in-ring work, the two can brutalize each other on the mic. And there is an obvious angle at play which the WWE could capitalize on if they pursue a feud between the two legends.

A more sophisticated Dwayne Johnson vs. Triple H feud over power

As mentioned earlier, Hunter isn’t cleared to wrestle anymore due to his heart condition. Johnson, while in great shape, cannot pull off a match by himself. This does open up room for a different kind of feud involving a power struggle. With The Rock as a board member and Hunter, the Head of Creative, the two could feud over who holds ultimate control over the WWE.
