Before facing each other at WrestleMania, Flair had a lot of stare-downs with The Eradicator. One time when Ripley and Dominik Mysterio came on SmackDown to threaten Rey Mysterio and Flair, The Queen had an apt response for the younger version of Mysterio.
After hearing Dom brag about his ‘Mami’, Flair replied, “I have a real Latino man at home that calls me Mami. With a much thicker accent. So I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.” This ended up gaining a lot of attention from fans. Although wrestlers are not allowed to reference other promotions, this indirect mention drove the wrestling community crazy.
