The recently leaked gameplay of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War filled gamers all over the world with anticipation. The gameplay was an extremely barebones look at the game, which should currently be in the pre-alpha stage of development.

The very skeletal look of the game was such that it did not even have a sliding mechanic and only had about 5 functioning weapons in the leaked demo.

However, here’s a compilation of most of them we saw in the leaks.

The leaked footage is in the alpha stage so do not expect a smooth and fully-functioning display.  But, it does give us an idea of where the game is heading, at this stage of development.

Call of Duty 2020 may be bigger than ever

First come the guns and weapons. The Daewoo K2, a Korean assault rifle was spotted in the demo. A standard 1911 pistol, an AK47 type weapon, an M16, and a Colt revolver were all reportedly seen as usable weapons in the leak. These weapons have been rumored to be in the game since December of last year.

In terms of scorestreaks (or killstreaks), an RCXD, a chopper gunner, napalm strike, artillery strike have all been leaked. Furthermore, UAVs, Counter-UAVs, and a flamethrower may also make it into the mix. A bomber plane, which can take out all of the killstreaks collected may also come into play in the final release. There was also a dog-centric killstreak, but it isn’t clear if it was like Riley from Ghosts, or like the normal attack dogs from Black Ops.

In terms of perks, ‘Toughness’ made a return, and the ‘Dead Silence’ perk was notably missing from the leaks.

New Maps?

The leak contained a map that was codenamed ‘Tank’. It was essentially a warehouse with numerous Disposable Anti-tank Weapons lying about, with tanks being manufactured all around the map.

The return of Ground War was also rumored, showcased in a massive ice map. This would mostly be used for the 32v32 matches, which are known to be chaotic. The map reportedly has 4 areas, with a frozen forest, frozen lake, bunkers, and a train. Rumors suggest the map will also have snowmobiles and tanks.

In terms of the normal 6v6 maps, there have been 2 novel additions. First, a warehouse with an open field, overlooked by a sniper tower. Second, a larger map set in a Russian city, with cars and other vehicles spread around.

Old classic maps, like Nuketown, Jungle, Summit, and Firing Range will most probably make a return as remastered maps. Whether this is in the base game or packaged as DLC is unclear.

It is important to state again that these are only leaks, and are subject to change at any time. These nuggets of information most probably don’t reflect the end state of the game, but do serve to excite fans all over the world.
