It’s not often that a developing studio shares a gameplay bug ahead of an anticipated title’s release. And that, too, when the game is none other than a highly awaited project like Hogwarts Legacy. However, Avalanche has a different take than the usual norms used by others. It just tried to show that to the fans as well.
On Twitter, the Hogwarts Legacy developer recently posted a clip taken from the gameplay of the title in development. Surprisingly, the result that came out following its reveal was hilarious and also amazing, to say the least

“Hilarious bug” reveal in Hogwarts Legacy lets Avalanche win over fans’ hearts!
Hogwarts Legacy has been one of the most ambitious and talked about games lately. As is already known, it’s being developed by Avalanche and published by Portkey Games label. The latter comes under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

As per the official description, so far, the upcoming game will feature an immersive open world. Its story is set in the 1800s wizarding world. Players will take on the role of a fresh student who’s just joined the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Moreover, they will receive various sets of upgrades and skills as they make progress in Hogwarts Legacy.
While Avalanche is currently working on putting out the best game possible, it recently tried something most studios will be afraid to even think about. It shared gameplay footage from Hogwarts Legacy on Twitter, pointing out a bug.

What’s shocking to see in the clip is a hilarious bug that the developer came across while preparing last week’s trailer. However, what happened next was even more unexpected and astonishing.
Fans lauded Avalanche for showing this kind of transparency. Because, according to them, it means that the developing team is identifying various glitches while fixing them as well.
One user wrote: “it’s nice to see you guys point out your own flaws before fixing them, wish more games did this.”
I like this studio now. Keep up the great work, and please show us more bugs before launch, it’s nice to see you guys point out your own flaws before fixing them, wish more games did this. pic.twitter.com/mx1SNhdOB0

This is probably the first time I’ve seen a studio share bugs they’ve found for a game trailer. This is pretty hilarious and also brilliant when noticing that it wasn’t in the final trailer. You guys are awesome and should keep doing little bloopers like this 🤣🤣

I’m hoping this is bait
Because posting about a bug doesn’t mean they’re not fixing it 😅

I like this. Being as transparent as possible, is obvious this will get fixed. but personally, the more transparent a company is the more trust it gets from me. keep up the good work. also, is there a possibility for a Hogwarts online? after the single-player release?

Mad respect for a developer that has a sense of humor about their bugs.
