Talking about the “Giraffe scene,” Bella Ramsey aka Ellie in the show said, “It’s a joyful moment for Ellie, and for Joel to see Ellie finally being a glimmer of what she used to be. After the trauma that she faced in the past. Everything that she had experienced hasn’t just gone away.”

“It’s just this moment of beauty. It’s so precious, it’s almost sad. Then speaking with Craig, I realized, it was just living the truth of it. It was bittersweet, but still so, so beautiful,” added young Bella Ramsey about the last moments of her journey as Ellie.

HBO’s The Last of Us is directly based on Naughty Dog’s magnum opus gaming series, The Last of Us. The franchise, created by Neil Druckmann, is one of the most significant and beloved IPs in the gaming world. TLOU Part I and Part II were the catalysts that set a new benchmark in the industry.

Closely following the game’s storyline, the producers and writers, including Neil himself, made some subtle deviations in the narrative, which so far has only proven to be an improvement. However, for the Last episode of season 1, the crew decided to remain as true to the games as possible.
