Is Nintendo not letting villagers speak in English in Animal Crossing: New Horizons a bad influence?

Players’ complaints about villagers are very common in the community. Many users have already complained regarding the lack of in-game dialogues and interaction previously. Therefore, in order to improve users’ satisfaction, Nintendo released a few villagers’ updates in the recent 2.0 update.

Interestingly, one Reddit user recently complained regarding villagers having no in-game language dialogue. According to the user, since Nintendo doesn’t let villagers speak any language, it becomes tough for young children or people who can’t read. This is a very general issue as young age children won’t be able to interact with villagers if they couldn’t read.

Interestingly, other users have very different experiences and consoled the Reddit user that this will only motivate her daughter to learn the language and read.
