The Legend of Zelda is one of the most celebrated franchises from Nintendo. Since its release in 1986, it has come a long way. The game amassed a lot of popularity throughout these years and soon became one of the pioneering gaming franchises.

And in 2023, yet another installment of the franchise called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will get released. The Legend of Zelda had some amazing features, which got lost in transit when newer versions came. Among them is the feature of ‘breakable weapons’. This feature was mostly highlighted in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The excitement that breakable weapon brings is very engaging. In most games, after you find a suitable weapon you just stick to it for the rest of the game. But, when weapons become breakable, you will be forced to explore other avenues in the game. This would switch up your game style itself, thus breaking the mundane gaming style formed by wielding the same weapon.

Breath of Wild even gave some restrictions to their ultimate weapon, the Master Sword. They did it by giving the weapon a cooldown.

This game had some amazing features that were very unique. The geography and maps themselves gave a fresh feeling to the gamers. Moreover, the lack of markings on maps about landmarks makes the players more engaged in navigation within the game.

There were also many cooking options. That is, if you had several items in your hands, you can cook up quite a number of dishes with them. This was something that gives more depth to the game. The popularity of such features resounded in other games as well. Popular RPG games like Genshin Impact also have similar unique features, where characters can cook food. And some characters even have some marque dishes to their name.

These features are quite unique, especially the aspect of the weapon wearing out. This is a key aspect that will drive games to success and if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings all these aspects, the game would thrive after its release in 2023.
