It’s been five years since the release of Fortnite, but even after so many years, the collaborations keep this game going. This 2017 video game has collaborated with big-name movies, TV series, and famous personalities. This time, the game has joined hands with a big movie series.

There have been a lot of rumors lately about this 2017 battle royale game collaborating with Star Wars. It seems the rumors were true, as the trailer featuring the Star Wars characters has dropped. But the fans showcased an unexpected reaction towards it.

The Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration trailer hits the internet

The trailer for the collaboration between Fortnite and Star Wars is out. It begins with the three iconic protagonists of the original three movies, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia. So, players could get the skins for these characters from November 8 onwards. Moreover, it might be a multiple-week event, the first being Skywalker Week.

In the trailer, we also see these characters drop onto a map that features many buildings from the Star Wars world. Then we could also see Darth Vader enter the screen with his Storm Troopers. It could possibly be a sign of Star Wars-based quests. Like every other collaboration, there would be a unique quest that might also give special rewards.

Aside from Luke, Leia, and Han skins, fans might also get their hands on the famous lightsaber, which can be a cosmetic for the pickaxe. Further, players would get weapons themed on the Star War weapons in the chests. Also, the Fortnite gliders would look like an X-34 Landspeeder. It might not be the end, and the following week could make the Dark Vader skin available. Undoubtedly, there is a lot to expect from this collaboration.

This collaboration did not receive the expected reception

The Fortnite developers Epic Games might have thought this Star Wars collaboration would be a significant hit. However, the fans showcased an unexpected reaction. Most fans were unimpressed about the crossover and turned a cold shoulder towards it. Many even claimed they were tired of seeing video games collaborate with Star Wars.
