Nintendo is hardly making any mistakes this year as most of the releases from the developer and publisher have turned out to be blockbusters. Titles like Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Switch Sports, and recently Splatoon 3, have succeeded in impressing a large number of Switch players worldwide.

Not to mention that the official name of The Legend of Zelda sequel was revealed as well in the recently concluded Direct. It adds up to the growing hype for the extremely awaited Switch exclusive. However, there was another game, which was very much rumored to be revealed during the event that took place this week. This game was none other than the Metroid Prime remastered edition.

Sadly, there was no update from the makers for some reason. But now a major leak based on the project has unleashed a piece of rare information about its existence.

Nintendo already finished the development of Metroid Prime Remastered way back in 2021!

As everyone might be knowing already, this week’s Direct was anticipated for multiple reasons. Apart from obvious reveals like Zelda 2, it was speculated to offer the first look at a remastered Metroid Prime. This news was nearly confirmed by all the reputed scoopers who are known for breaking out crucial details about Nintendo.

To everyone’s surprise, Metroid Prime wasn’t announced in the Direct. In fact, there wasn’t even a slight mention of it throughout the duration of the livestream. After the conclusion of the event, many people were left wondering.

However, now there’s another leaked information doing the rounds on the internet. An account on Twitter, named Direct-Feed Games, shared a mind-boggling fact regarding the yet-to-be-revealed Metroid Prime.

The scooper wrote in their tweet that Nintendo had already finished the development of the remaster a year ago. That it’s already in a completed state and is simply ready to launch, given that it was done with its making in mid-2021. Although it’s just another leak, it’s quite interesting to witness just days after the Direct.
