“He is Lost”- Former Teammate Gives a Damning Verdict on Sebastian Vettel and His Ferrari Struggles

Ferrari, or rather, Sebastian Vettel in particular has been struggling immensely this season. The 4-time World Champion has only managed to collect a meager 10 points from the first four races.
This has been one of Vettel’s worst-ever starts to a Formula One season. The last time the German failed to register a podium in the first four races of the season was in 2008, when he raced for Toro Rosso.
Obviously, his unfortunate record hasn’t really been his own doing. Ferrari have got to take much of the blame for it. The Scuderia’s SF1000 has been really off the pace, but especially Vettel’s one almost seems to have a curse on it.

The German has already vented out his frustrations with the car, something that former teammate Mark Webber also shares some light on.

“It’s really light on the rear, so for him, he is really chasing the vehicle. The operation within the garage doesn’t give him the confidence he needs to go out there and push the car to the limit.

“We even saw him checking over the car himself, which is a horrendous situation for a driver to be in.”
Vettel’s still got another 9 races of possible suffering to endure. However, he would hope that the team does their best to improve the car for this weekend’s Grand Prix race.
Beyond this season, Sebastian’s future is up in the air. He’s been linked with a move to Racing Point, which will be called Aston Martin from next season. If that move does materialize, one thing Vettel can be assured of is a better car.

Let’s hope for his sake, that he’s back to competing at the front of the grid rather than struggling to get into the points.
