Max Verstappen has consistently surpassed records and his supremacy is currently at the height of his powers. The question of whether a driver enjoying his prime will ever break the winning record is frequently posed in these scenarios. It was posed to Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton and is currently being tossed around for Verstappen as well. Given that Red Bull has been sweeping the F1 circuit for the past 15 months and a regulations overhaul is not until 2026, the team has an excellent probability of winning numerous races in the years to come. Verstappen, however, has cast doubt on Red Bull’s wisdom given Lewis Hamilton‘s steep record challenge, despite the side enjoying an incredible dominance.

Max Verstappen appears to be the only driver who can beat Lewis Hamilton’s record of 103 Grand Prix victories. With the powerful RB 19 and the fact that his driving prowess helped him win 15 of the 22 races last year, collectively with the reality that he has entered the list of the greatest drivers by equaling legendary Ayrton Senna’s record wins of 41, the Dutchman shattering the illustrious record might be a possibility. Though, Max has given a realistic view of whether that is possible or not.

Winning requires a piece of consistent, powerful machinery. While Verstappen & Co. have it for the moment, the teams left behind are making significant strides forward to bridge the gap with the mighty Red Bull. According to Motorsport Turkey, when asked if he might surpass Hamilton’s winning record, the Dutchman raised concern and responded, ” You have to be in the right car for a long time and I don’t know if I’ll have it.

Although Hamilton has 103 victories under his belt, who knew that he would have to overcome Max Verstappen’s uproar to make his tally reach 104? Thus, as the Dutchman cast his doubt on the record-breaking possibility, Lewis Hamilton has expressed his opinion about Verstappen breaking his record.

Until Lewis Hamilton shattered the record for the most Grand Prix victories at the Portuguese Grand Prix, it belonged to the legendary driver Michael Schumacher (91). However, as the adage goes by that “records are only meant to be broken” Hamilton seems optimistic about Verstappen’s driving prowess which can lead the Dutchman to reach the elusive record.

Given that the Dutchman already shattered one of Hamilton’s records last year by accruing the most points (454), besides winning the most races (15), the Mercedes ace responded in a humble manner before the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. According to race fans, the 7x champion said, ” He has got a very long career ahead of him so absolutely. Records are there to be broken and he has got an amazing team. “
