Despite the current uncertainty and criticism surrounding Daniel Ricciardo, he has proved to be an exceptional driver. Further, Ricciardo is a fair driver and arguably one of the nicest persons on the grid; a man deserving of his ‘nice guy’ tag on the paddock. The self-acclaimed Honey Badger once again showcased his sweet side despite a heartbreaking ending to his Hungarian GP.
Ricciardo has a history of getting along with his teammates as well, be it Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, or Nico Hulkenberg. This likeability factor around Ricciardo isn’t a fluke either. The Australian showcased exactly why he is liked by most after the Hungarian GP race as he approached Lance Stroll.

During the race, there was an incident where the McLaren man came in contact with Stroll. The contact ruined Stroll’s race, who was competing for points until that point.
Ricciardo locked up at turn two and made contact during Stroll’s overtaking attempt. Stroll communicated his frustration on the radio as well as he said, “I gave him plenty of room.”
However, the Australian caught hold of Stroll right after the race and owned up to his mistake as seen in the video. We’re not sure about the conversation, but it looks like Ricciardo is trying to explain the lockup and apologize as well.
