One can always rely on Guenther Steiner to say the funniest things. Fans eagerly wait for his interviews in the Drive to Survive series as Steiner makes the most hilarious statements. A while ago, his team Haas struggled immensely. The American team went through some troubled times as they had to lose their major sponsor and a driver. However, in a drastic turn of events, the team is on a roll right now.

Steiner is particularly happy with the way things have worked out. After losing out on Nikita Mazepin, the team was in a frenzy to quickly find a replacement for him. Soon, Kevin Magnussen joined the team. He made such a sensational comeback that the Danish driver stood P5 in his very first race for F1 in more than a year. Moreover, Haas has been repeatedly claiming points as they are also making an impression with the help of a much-envied superior Ferrari engine.

F1 Twitter reacts to Guenther Steiner’s recent statement

Steiner recently defended his team after accusations of sudden improvement. While many called it “the white Ferrari,” Steiner clapped back dramatically and said, “You have to work hard for envy. You get pity for free. I wish the others would be green with envy because that means we did a very good job.”

It is not in Guenther‘s nature to shy away from speaking his mind. Probably that is exactly what makes him a standout, and a fan-loved team principal. He is not only the crown jewel of the F1 meme world, but he most certainly seems to enjoy that. His many, many sensational comments are just a testament to how funny he can be sometimes.

Understandably, Haas and Steiner seem to enjoy this time after facing troubles during the pre-season. While Magnussen competes with the Mercedes and McLaren, leaving us all in shock, Guenther has no complaints. Teammate Mick Schumacher now will be hawk-eyed this season, as he is too expected to live up to K-Mag’s standards. Schumacher, who has scored no points this season, and has already crashed the car once, has the pressure on him.
