Formula 1 drivers can often times be slaves of superstition. There’s some pretty good logic behind it, too. But for Carlos Sainz Jr., there’s compelling evidence to back it all up now. The Ferrari man has been on fire ever since racing action resumed after the summer break. A testament to this fact has been his amazing performances at Monza and now at the Marina Bay Circuit. But what exactly is the secret of Sainz’s success?

Well, on the track, there’s a lot that has been going in Sainz’s favor. At the Italian Grand Prix, the Ferrari racing ace bagged an astounding pole and went on to battle Charles Leclerc for almost 51 laps to secure an iconic podium finish. Today, at the Singapore Grand Prix Qualifying, he bagged consecutive pole positions for the first time ever in his F1 career. That being said, all of Sainz’s ‘luck’ has a deep-rooted existence in what the Spaniard was up to during the 2023 F1 summer break.

For Sainz, the summer break was pretty eventful as he has reportedly got along with Scottish model, Rebecca Donaldson. After a heartbreaking break-up with his ex, Isa Hernaez, the 29-year-old Tifosi favorite has now moved on, and it would appear, to bigger and better things.

Many drivers use the summer break to recharge their batteries. But Carlos Sainz has gotten himself a girlfriend and a lucky charm in the process, too. With some amazing performances put in by the Spaniard since Donaldson came into his life, it won’t be too far-fetched to assume that she indeed is a keeper!

Sainz has a game plan to beat Max Verstappen & Co.

For Sainz, there will be a few rivals in the way. While Max Verstappen will be itching to keep is perfect run intact, Charles Leclerc and George Russell both pose threats to the Spaniard. However, Sainz has Marina Bay to thank for if he wins tomorrow.

After Qualifying, he was quoted as revealing, “I’m more confident mainly because of the track layout. I think it’s a bit easier to hold onto a track position. It could be that tomorrow we have to run, yet again, a bit of a defensive race but I don’t discount that even around this track we could hold on to our P1.”
