How did Kimi’s race pan out?
The Finnish driver had to start his Hungarian GP in thirteenth place. However, Raikkonen was still motivated in order to get a better result for the team that would see them gain some points in the championship.
Another obstacle that was thrown his way was the time penalty for the unsafe release in the garage. Understandably, the Iceman was furious but still kept pushing around the Hungaroring.
Raikkonen’s perseverance paid off as they were promoted to tenth place, which saw them pick up one point in Budapest. The Swiss-based team would have learned from this mistake and would be more careful when they ahead to off to Spa for the Belgium GP.
The Iceman is hoping to score points on merit rather than get promoted. He will be hoping for a better finish than Hungary and help his team seize some more points this season.
