Former F1 Champion Sings Praises of Toto Wolff’s ‘Great Leadership’ at Mercedes During Abu Dhabi Hurdles

Very few people are capable of what Toto Wolff has done in Formula One. Throughout his tenure in the sport, his brilliance as a leader has always shone. While last year was possibly the toughest for him and his team Mercedes, he has decided to move on. As Wolff looks forward to the new season, a recent post from the legendary Damon Hill shows why he is possibly the best boss ever.
1996 Formula One World Champion Damon Hill is no stranger to success. No wonder he recognizes hard work when he sees it, this time in the form of Toto Wolff. Many fans hail Wolff as the sport’s best Team Lead, which saw him crafting a world champion in Lewis Hamilton and a dominant team in Mercedes.

While he is not individually responsible for the success of Mercedes, he is surely the kingpin of the Brackley based team. The Austrian man has faced several difficult situations in life. While he initially wanted to be a racer, destiny had something else in store for him.
Toto Wolff says he has moved on from Abu Dhabi
While this man is used to winning, rivals expected that a championship defeat would make him weak. The 2021 season saw Mercedes win the Constructors’ but lose the drivers’ title. Speaking to an interviewer, Toto claimed that though it was difficult, they could not afford to cling onto the defeat. He also clarified about his alleged push for Michael Masi’s departure, and said, ” You can’t do that kind of deal in the modern day. Us not appealing was more because we thought that it would go on for ever, end up in the International Court of Appeal and not be good for the sport. We will never forget, but we needed to move on.”
