Netflix yesterday released the trailer for its incredibly crafted F1 web series “Drive To Survive: Season 3”. Fans were hooked onto the brief two-minute clip and in a matter of few hours, it gained much traction on social media.

Season 3 will predominantly focus on the drivers, team bosses, and the teams themselves in the 2020 F1 season. The intrigue also lies in seeing how these entities operated in secure bio bubbles owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

A big move in the drivers’ market saw Ferrari drop Sebastian Vettel for the upcoming campaign. In that regard, the veteran German driver’s reaction and demeanor on-screen would also appeal to quite a lot of his old and new fans.

Additionally, the trailer has also hinted and displayed some sub-plots that could guide an episode on its own. Rest assured, F1 fans surely cannot wait any longer to watch another gripping season!

Haas F1 could have some presence in this season as well

The American outfit did not impress with their results on the track in the 2020 season. However, there will always be a certain excitement when the cameras are focused on the team’s boss, Guenther Steiner.

He has featured extensively in the past two seasons, and so there is a possibility he features to an extent in the third edition as well. Factor in the fact that the team had to decide of letting both their experienced drivers go, and we may see some behind-the-scenes footage of how this development came about.

The trailer shows that the media crew have also looked to interview former Haas racer Romain Grosjean. His huge, fiery crash at the Bahrain GP last year caused shock and disbelief to many, but he miraculously escaped from the scene of the accident.

Netflix have included snapshots of both drivers’ fantastic but shock race victories in the trailer too. Gasly and Perez certainly would not have expected heading into the race that a win was a possibility. But they definitely make for good stories on their own.

Gasly, especially, with his AlphaTauri car conquering the ‘Temple of Speed’ that is Monza, was a sight to savor. Perez’s win also documented his hard work and struggles, having started 190 races without a trophy to show for it.
