Formula 1 is a sport that doesn’t forgive. A driver has to keep performing at the level at which he was contracted or else he is shown the door. Daniel Ricciardo was faced with the same situation when he was traded for his compatriot, Oscar Piastri. The ruthless sport didn’t discount the pedigree of Ricciardo, and the promising rookie was brought in to drive for McLaren in 2023. However, McLaren did not put up a favorable show during the Testing. And the fans were quick to point fingers at the rookie and even gave an adverse verdict for the Papaya team’s future in 2023.

McLaren cars are admittedly difficult to drive. Lando Norris knows it and Oscar was prepared for it. To add to the misery, Piastri’s orange car took a 360-degree spin during the last day of testing. Though the man acted quickly to maintain control of the car and got back on track, the fans were already out with their verdict.

However, after the controversial recruitment of Piastri and the even more controversial firing of Ricciardo, the Papaya team did not impress during the Bahrain Pre-Season Testing and fans gave their verdict.
