As Formula 1 moves into the second half of the 2020 season, the drivers’ market is far from settled. Amidst such a scenario, according to Motorsport.com, there is a rumor going around in the paddock that Sergio Perez will sign a deal with Haas.
The move is practical, as the team could use two things. i.e. his experience to the fullest and the money he brings with his many sponsors. It is also speculated that the team is unlikely to retain both its drivers.
The name Sergio Perez sprung up when Magnussen spoke to the Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet. “Obviously I would prefer to have a signed contract,” said Kevin Magnussen.

“I know that most likely there are several negotiations underway, but I have learned not to be influenced by these moments. I don’t want the situation to affect my work on track. The current one is clearly a very competitive drivers’ market, just read the names.”
“There are Perez and Hulkenberg,” said the Danish driver. “Then the junior Ferrari drivers like Schumacher, Shwartzman, and Ilott. And we are a team linked to Ferrari, as is Alfa Romeo. So there are a good number of candidates. What I can do is keep working at my best.”
Earlier, Perez was left out of Racing Point after the team opted for the four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel. Since then, he has been searching for a drive in for the 2021 season.
Now, Sergio Perez is in the middle of several drivers fighting for the four seats in the Ferrari powered cars. But considering Perez’s recent form, he would have the upper hand over the others.
