Formula 1 is a fiercely competitive sport, and you can only continue in the industry for as long as you are quick and reliable. The two top Formula 1 driver, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, are aware of this fact. And after the British driver made a point by addressing the dangers of F1 with regard to the safety of F1 drivers, it appears the Monegasque is echoing Hamilton’s views on his future possibilities.

Last year, Lewis Hamilton was found speaking with ESPN on how Formula 1 driver must manage the danger and risk in their lives. These remarks followed his horrific collision with Max Verstappen at the 2021 Monza. Hamilton indicated that the dangers of F1 might have an impact on his retirement plans, as he said, “But I still have so much to do with my time here [in F1] still. So then you have to compartmentalize it [the danger factor]. I’m aware of it. I respect that danger bubble and it’s exciting also.”

And reiterating Hamilton’s remark, Charles Leclerc spoke about his “over the limits” approach. Charles Leclerc was discovered sharing some of himself during a meeting that was set up by Bitdefender. Following his misstep at the Miami Grand Prix, where he repeated the mistake twice during practice and qualification by crashing at turn 7. There have been a lot of backlashes towards the Monegasque driver and to that two veterans Martin Brundle and Ralf Schumacher contributed the most.

However, while speaking of his thought, the one from Leclerc is more general and also related to the subject of safety, but those are clear about his intellectual viewpoint. The 25-year-old said, “We have different systems to run safely. Also for this reason, I focus only on speed and how to bring the car to the limit. And sometimes it happens to go crash. When I start thinking about danger, I think I’ll retire.”

The adage “with great power comes great responsibility” certainly applies to Leclerc, who has the duty to keep the Tifosi at bay with disappointment, something the Monegasque understands fully.

What is Charles Leclerc’s opinion regarding his obligation to Ferrari?

Being a Ferrari driver is a sensitive job. There is a lot of responsibility that comes while sitting behind the wheel of one of the most recognizable names in the Formula 1 industry. Leclerc has stated his views about the pride and responsibility of representing the prestigious Ferrari. Besides, the Monegasque noted that he is cognizant of the support the Scuderia receives while mentioning the pressure that comes with it.

The Monegasque also adds about the extra efforts needed to make. The enthusiastic Leclerc said, “It’s all a mix of work, preparation and risk. It happens especially when I do a lap in qualifying, I have to understand the limit of the car, tyres and track. There you have to put everything together. Hard work and consistency must never be lacking, even when things don’t go their way.”
