Kimi Raikkonen Has a Typically Sarcastic Response to His Extra Alfa Romeo F1 Work

Kimi Raikkonen is one of the most experienced drivers on the grid this season with 340 race starts to his name. The 41-year-old is in his 19th season in Formula 1 and experienced an abundance of success in his illustrious career with 21 wins, 103 podiums, and notably the 2007 world championship. And despite all the experience under his belt, Raikkonen had to regularly work with simulators to improve his performance on the track.
Because of the pandemic, Alfa Romeo was unable to use the simulator they bought in 2019. Although now they have reached the stage where they can use their new simulator effectively to boost their current season and the next season as well.
Meanwhile, when asked about his extra role in the new simulator in Hinwil, Switzerland, Kimi Raikkonen hilariously replied: “I am there often because I live closest. It is just 40 minutes, that’s the big issue.”

Alfa Romeo currently sits P9 in the constructor’s championship, seven points behind Williams, who secured double points finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
