Is a secret even a secret anymore if it’s open? Well, Charles Leclerc has been involved in a so-called open secret that involves Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes. It looks like a never-ending loop where Mercedes and Ferrari are always somewhere linked with each other’s fortune. Nevertheless, as Lewis Hamilton’s future unfolds, he reacts to the open secret and, to everyone’s surprise, does not yield

As Mercedes fails to deliver a competitive car, Lewis Hamilton’s title hopes keep flushing down the drain. As a result, Hamilton was linked with a move to another team, like Ferrari. The Briton refused any such rumors, explaining how happy he is with the team and the effort that everyone is putting in. However, this is Lewis Hamilton’s last year of contract with Mercedes and they have not signed an extension yet.

According to Skysports.com, when asked whether the Leclerc rumor had any effect on him, Lewis Hamilton said, “No, not really, I think maybe some of the drivers all have different relationships with different bosses and stuff. I like where I am, I love my team, and I’m grateful for the journey we’ve been on and what we’re working on moving forwards. So, it doesn’t have any impact, no.”

However, Lewis Hamilton might not be the only driver impacted by this open secret. Charles Leclerc’s career is also on the line. However, the Monegasque driver refused any contact with or from Mercedes’ side regarding the transfer.
