Formula 1 drivers over the years have given us some of the most memorable sporting moments. That being said, given the high stakes this sport runs on, there have been some pretty spectacular mistakes too. While there is no doubt that almost all the drivers that have driven in Formula 1 deserve a place in the hall of fame for motor racing, you can’t help but contemplate the other side of the coin. An account on Twitter went about doing the same. And if you’re a Max Verstappen fan, we advise you to proceed with caution!
Pitstop Fracas on Twitter started a poll on the social media website. And it was a pretty interesting one. They wrote, “We’ve seen some stinker performances in F1 Tell us your favorite “hall of shame” drive.” And as soon as this Tweet went viral, fans of the sport swarmed the social media website to give their opinions on the worst F1 drives ever. What ensued was a plethora of horrid F1 moments, but for the 2x champion, Max Verstappen, there was a concerning trend.

The very first Saudi Arabian Grand Prix of 2021 will forever remain a cult-classic. But two Max Verstappen moments will always stand out in the memories of F1 fans. And these exact two moments made it constantly to the list of hall of shame moments for the fans.
Fans deem Max Verstappen as F1’s hall of shamer
During the qualifying session, Verstappen was on his final flying lap. And it was a stonker. However, he pushed too hard and binned into the barriers on the final corner of the lap. This gave Lewis Hamilton the pole position for the race on Sunday. And in the dying embers of the race, Verstappen seemingly brake-tested the Brit which led to Verstappen coming off worse for wear.
Eventually, Hamilton won the race and went into the Championship finale in Abu Dhabi, equal on points with the Dutch lion. Let’s look at a few of the fan reactions from this “hall of shame” poll.
