“My Money Is On…”: Clear Favorite Chosen Between Toto Wolff & Zak Brown as Las Vegas Boxing Saga Catches Heat

Formula 1 is very much like a boxing match, with respect to the fact that defeat is not declared when someone falls, but when someone refuses to get up again. Zak Brown and Co. have been trying their level best to get up after the fall at the first couple of races and succeeded on their third try. After Mclaen’s triumph, Zak Brown tried his luck and challenged Toto Wolff to a boxing match. The favorite to win has already been chosen. Let’s find out who the favorite is.

McLaren’s performance has been quite disastrous since the start of the current season causing Zak Brown to avoid the media. McLaren might still have been last in the constructors if it had not been for the Albert Park mayhem. However, McLaren did manage to score good points pushing them up to P5 in the constructor’s championship. Zak Brown who was busy signing what looked like a never-ending list of sponsors finally came out in front of the media.

During the post-race interviews at the Australian GP, Zak Brown challenged Toto Wolff to a boxing match in Las Vegas, because that’s one of many things Vegas is famous for. The Inside The Piranha Club podcast hosts, Rebecca Clancy and Ben Hunt chose their favorite to win the boxing match in the latest episode of their podcast. The hosts went back and forth discussing the attributes of the two team bosses. They concluded that Toto would probably come out as the winner owning to his longer reach and sounder fitness. However, if the referee allows a little bit of dirty boxing, the results might tip in Brown’s favor.

According to the Inside Piranha Club Podcast, Ben Hunt said “I would love to see Toto in a ring with Zak Brown in Las Vegas. That would probably be better than the race actually”. Rebecca Clancy replied “My money is on Toto, I reckon he’s got longer reach” to which Hunt further added, “Yeah long reach, probably fitness will come into it”. Ben Hunt concluded by adding “But would then Zak be a bit of a dirty fighter, I mean depends on the rules, doesn’t it? Depends on who the referee is”

McLaren scoring decent points in Melbourne would’ve felt like a good opportunity for Brown to challenge Toto Wolff for the boxing match. But can McLaren continue its point-scoring run in the next race?

What are Zak Brown and Co.’s expectations for Azerbaijan GP?

The McLaren team is believed to be working on upgrades to eliminate certain weaknesses of the MCL60. The upgrades are believed to be ready for the Azerbaijan GP and will help Mclaren with the slow-speed corners. Lando Norris believes that it’s a step forward. The Briton mentioned how everybody worked really hard to get everything ready for Baku. If what Norris said about the upgrades is true, McLaren will be the one to look out for in terms of performance gained.

According to Formula1.com, Lando Norris said “I don’t want to get too excited about all of it because I wouldn’t say Baku is where it’s going to help us the most with all the slow speed corners, but at the same time it’s a step forward, I hope.” “The team have been working very hard back [at the factory] and here [at the track] to get everything ready for Baku”
