Oliver Bearman and Lewis Hamilton are currently the talk of the F1 community. With his impressive debut in Saudi Arabia, the 18-year-old exuded the traits of a mature racer, while the latter had a dramatic drop in form in 2024. However, Hamilton’s successful past cannot be dismissed. And that is exactly the reason why Ferrari has invested its money and hopes.

After an exceptional performance in Jeddah, Bearman, who will continue to be Ferrari’s Reserve Driver into 2025, has expressed how the 7x champ can elevate the team to never-foreseen levels. To add to this, Lewis Hamilton and Oliver Bearman were caught sharing some moments post-race.

The Mercedes star even helped the Ferrari rookie get out of the SF24 after a “difficult” race. With Lewis Hamilton set to join the Maranello outfit in 2025, the 18-year-old Oliver Bearman has an entirely new world to discover through the advice of F1’s most successful racer ever. He’s aware of that and is already grateful.

“Although I won’t be directly working with him (Lewis), I’m sure his knowledge and experience will rub off in all departments,” Bearman told BBC Sport. “I’m doing a lot of sim work with them. So hopefully, I can learn a thing or two from him and his wealth of experience. It’s an honor to even be associated with him in the same team. Hopefully, he can push everyone forward and bring great success.”

From Toto Wolff to Helmut Marko to two of the grid’s oldest drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, his debut race even turned rivals into fans. So much so that the Silver Arrows star labeled him a “really bright future star” and Aston Martin’s talisman found that Bearman drove “fantastically well.”
