Red Bull has finally taken both titles home for the first time since 2013. And just like the last time, it has come in an utterly dominant fashion. While they are running a successful boat on the track, they are also doing it away from it. A recent development revealed the fortune they’ve made with their engaging social media presence.

Max Verstappen has been nothing short of a successful investment for Red Bull. Their overall business model of scouting young talent and sponsoring them until they reach the pinnacle of their abilities has been working wonderfully. Talents like Verstappen, in turn, don’t just pay back with the results in the sport, but also with the massive fan following they generate.

Red Bull’s dominant social media presence

Red Bull has an engaging social media presence, whether it is it Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube. They regularly upload engaging content with the highest production quality. And if one is to go by Formula 1 journalist Vincenzo Landino’s latest Twitter post, their social media team has reaped massive profits for them.

In his Twitter post, Landino uploaded a video from Horizm with the caption that revealed the fortune Red Bull Racing has made with their socials. Landino wrote, @redbullracing is not only a powerhouse on the track but dominant on social. With over 26M followers & 2B impressions, they’ve generated €13,495,665 [$13,457,134] in brand value — making them one of the most recognizable brands in sports.”

Arguably, that kind of engagement would not have been possible had it not been for their success on the track. Red Bull’s ace driver Max Verstappen halted Lewis Hamilton’s dominant run last year by winning the drivers’ championship title. This year, they have one-upped their game by not just winning the drivers’ championship, but also the constructors’ championship.

The upcoming Mexican GP is another opportunity to bank on their social media game as the fixture is Sergio Perez’s home race.

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez entertain the fans ahead of the Mexican GP

It will take a lot of time for Formula 1 fans to forget 2021’s Abu Dhabi GP. In the thrilling title decider race, Max Verstappen did not have the best start. His teammate Sergio Perez did and played the ultimate wingman for the Dutchman. He was ahead of the title contender Lewis Hamilton and kept backing him up until his teammate arrived to fight his own battle.

When Max tailed behind Perez, he happily gave him a slipstream and got off of the racing line. An elated Verstappen let out “oh, Checo is a legend” on the team radio.

To this day he is grateful to his teammate and let that known in the latest Meet the Fans event in Mexico. In a fun game that they played, Perez had his ears covered with thick headphones and had to guess what his mate said.

Verstappen, knowing exactly how to win Mexican fans’ hearts, said, “Checo is a legend.” The fans roared and gave an even louder cheer when Checo answered right.
