Looks like Sebastian Vettel will not provide his new Aston Martin ride with a name. The four-time world champion usually follows a tradition of naming his car every year. In his defense, the AMR-22 is yet to show a real pace yet. Both Vettel and his teammate, Lance Stroll, are finding it very hard to maneuver the car without crashing into the walls.

Vettel, who is usually effortless in any car, has struggled in his only race of the season. While his absence in the first two races is an obvious factor, the car is definitely not the most convincing drive either.

Seb has arguably not gotten much time to know the car better. Though he did drive for final practice sessions ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, considerable time has gone by since then. Vettel recently revealed how he still has no name for the latest car. He said, “I’ll wait for a bit more pace before I think of a name, Maybe we take a little bit more time than usual.” Fans understand and agree with Seb’s point regarding this situation.

Aston Martin has not impressed

Aston Martin is facing considerable criticism after spending a hefty budget only to build a sub-par car. Stroll, in fact, can be heard constantly complaining about his driving wheel or the grip or the balance. Situations like these can be very demotivating for drivers, as they can only use a human skill to a level. Moreover, Stroll has arguably been a little careless with the car until now and has been penalized for the same.

Aston Martin has an uphill struggle from here on as they really need to improve. The Silverstone-based team is the only one still sitting on zero points in the constructors’ standings.
