“That Must Have Their Competitors Worried”- Ross Brawn Predicts a More “Aggressive” Mercedes in F1

There’s a reason as to why Mercedes is the #1 constructor in the world and the Brackley based outfit has proved its mettle yet again. F1 managing director Ross Brawn believes there is more to come from the Silver Arrows.
Valtteri Bottas finished first in the season opener. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, bagged a P1 finish at the Styrian Grand Prix. The race in Styria marked a particularly successful race for the Silver Arrows, as they found both their drivers sharing the podium.
Ross Brawn, the Formula One Managing Director lauded the Mercedes team for their performance and dedication.

Their excellence can be attributed to their attention to detail, which is evident in the way they treat even the most minor technical error or glitch. A practice that never ceases to impress Brawn.
He penned his thoughts down in a special column,“I suspect they had a little bit more in reserve, because of the need to stay off the kerbs and be a bit less aggressive with the cars during the race, and that in itself must have their competitors worried”

The team looked really strong over this weekend, it was indeed a phenomenal performance. Lewis Hamilton left the season opener with his head in his hands. However, he was able to vindicate himself by making a great comeback on Saturday during the qualifying session.

The lap which gave him his record-breaking 89th pole position was very impressive, so much so that Ross Brawn appreciated his performance as well.
The fact that he never lets his performance in a race affect his performance in the next, comes as no surprise. An attitude that helped him open up his tally of podium finishes for the new season.

On the other hand, the Finnish driver, Valtteri Bottas looked splendid in both editions of the race in Austria. He finished first and second, respectively, over the course of two weekends. The driver currently stands tall with 43 points ahead of every other driver on the roster.
Both the Mercedes drivers and team strategy looked really fantastic over the weekends and we wish to see more brilliance from their end throughout the remaining season.
