2023 will feel like a blow to the gut for Ferrari fans. Three races into the latest Formula 1 season, and its pretty clear that this isn’t the “next year” the Tifosi has been pinning for the last 15 years. Max Verstappen and Red Bull are running away with the championship, as Ferrari is still trying to just come to grips with the SF-23. And if that wasn’t enough, the team seem to be more preoccupied with the commercial side of things rather than what actually matters; the car.

Recently, Formula 1’s official Twitter account posted a video of the Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz engaged in a series of games whilst wearing upside down goggles. F1 captioned the Tweet, “Two highly entertaining team mates, two upside-down pairs of goggles and a host of challenges, what could go wrong?” As it turns out, a lot can go wrong when you get on the bad side of the passionate Tifosi!

Tensions are already running high between the Scuderia and it’s fanbase. Needless to say, the last thing the team needs is to have another tiff with the Tifosi. However, their latest media duty fell foul of the fans’ patience.

Fans react as Ferrari focuses on mindless games instead of its F1 ambitions

As soon as this Tweet went viral, fans rushed to the social networking site, Twitter, to share their reactions. One fan even commented, “I’m pretty sure they wear them when they’re driving. It would explain why they’re so bloody slow.”

Let’s take a look at just a few of the fan reactions to Ferrari’s latest PR antics.

Another gripe that the Tifosi has with the team is the apparent fake bromance between Sainz and Leclerc. Reports suggest that there is a palpable tension between the duo. However, it would appear that the Scuderia is trying hard to mask the problems with a forced PR brainwashing attempt. And this hasn’t gone down too well with the fans.

All in all, the fans want the team to focus on its performance rather than the media façade.
