It’s incredible what Mercedes has achieved in the past decade. Lewis Hamilton has been the focal point in all of Mercedes’ success, where he amassed 103 wins. There is only one man beating the Brit in the Mercedes garage, and that is the boss Toto Wolff with 115 wins. The two Mercedes men share a lot of special moments together. However, Hamilton wouldn’t like Toto Wolff’s best race among his 115.

During an interview with Tom Clarkson on F1: Beyond the Grid podcast, the Austrian billionaire discussed the best race of his career. Before he could even answer the question, the Austrian communicated his surprise about the fact he already has 115 wins. Albeit difficult, when asked to pick the best race of his career out of 115, Wolff had only one answer in his mind.

“In 2014, the race in Austria where I was still emotionally connected to Williams [his former team],” said Wolff. “Susie was part of the team. I think I even had some shares back then. We finished first, second, third, and fourth with Mercedes and Williams in a row.”

“As a co-owner of these two teams, I remember driving home — and there was this unbelievable feeling of ‘it can’t possibly be happening’. That was a really happy moment,” the Mercedes boss concluded.

Hamilton wouldn’t agree with Wolff’s choice as the Brit finished the race in second behind main-rival Nico Rosberg.

However, in the long run, it did not matter as Hamilton won his first driver’s championship for Mercedes in 2014. Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa finished the race in third and fourth, respectively, completing the best race of Wolff’s career.

Now that we have Toto Wolff’s answer, let’s look at one of Hamilton’s most memorable moments
