Ferrari suffered hefty blows in the free practice session before pulling up their socks. Qualifying 14th and 15th, Ferrari received immense criticism from all fields. Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff spoke highly of the Scuderia Ferrari and stated that Ferrari “should be racing at the very front.”
“It’s not good for Formula 1. It’s not good for the competition at the front. I very much feel with all the Tifosi and employees of Ferrari for this lack of performance”, Wolff stated.
Formula 1 is hugely successful owing to its fans and support worldwide. Ferrari is one of the pioneers of the sport and its legacy runs deep in the past. Wolff sites the horrendous results of Ferrari as a failure.

“Nobody, from the fans and the Ferrari people, deserves such a result.”

“Question the priorities that have been set in recent times, and where the lack of performance comes from. Actually, it’s wrong to say Ferrari’s priorities because that drags Ferrari and everybody at Ferrari into this. It’s maybe the decisions that have been made within the team, from certain members of the team.”
Ferrari seems to be in a bottomless pit of misery
The Italian team came to the race after struggling with their power units. However, the Friday practice revealed another issue. They were unable to incorporate their tires in the proper window. As a result, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc were dragged down in the list. Saturday was even worse for them. In the final practice session, Vettel finished the last of the lot.
