WATCH: Toto Wolff’s Frustrations at Brazil Pinnacle With ‘F*ck the Mask’ Move After Hamilton’s F1 Win

It had been a weekend of trials for Mercedes. Even after the race, Lewis Hamilton had to deal with a penalty. With luck just not on their side, the team deserve a good vacation to get over the calamity of the Brazilian GP weekend. While Hamilton smiled through the stress, team principal Toto Wolff was quite visibly sapped at Brazil – giving us a memorable post-race moment with the boss.

As Lewis Hamilton made his way to claim his victory, Toto Wolff looked on proudly at his Mercedes drivers. Not before taking off his mask with a stern “F*ck the mask” to go along with it.

The heat of the circuit surely piled onto the heat of the on-track battles surely lead to Wolff being a little indifferent – but it’s only understandable. After all the rules going against the team this weekend, we can give Wolff this one.

Toto Wolff vents the weekend’s frustrations

Clearly, not the best weekend in terms of stress levels for Toto Wolff. Although it was all worth it in the end, the Austrian believes that Mercedes’ problems could’ve been avoided. “I mean the whole weekend went against us.”

Wolff summed up his weekend in Sao Paulo, “I think we’ve just had many, many punches in the face this weekend with decisions that could have swung either side against us or for us… it’s just something that I’m just angry about and I will defend my team, my drivers to what comes.

A strong statement from the Mercedes frontman; his frustrations are more than valid.

“I don’t want to claim anything on the stewards… Whatever decision, one team is going to be grumpy. In that respect, I don’t want to be in this chair, but in a certain way when you’re taking punches all weekend and you have such a situation on top of everything, you’re just losing faith in a way.”

As Mercedes get ready for the final leg of the triple-header, they have a lot to review and mull over; however, it’s nothing the team hasn’t faced before. If this weekend was any proof, Mercedes bounces back stronger with their backs against the walls.
