Christian Horner, the team boss of Red Bull Racing, is being investigated in the wake of allegations of ‘inappropriate behavior’ by one of the female employees. Following this, his position and his future with Red Bull have remained uncertain. However, amid the scrutiny the Red Bull team principal has been garnering, Horner’s wife and former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell has remained in support of her husband. However, recent reports are suggesting that she has been utterly devastated by the nature of the allegations.

The allegations were initially reported on Monday by the Dutch morning newspaper, De Telegraaf. While Red Bull Racing denied having any knowledge of said allegations, Red Bull’s base in Austria released a quick statement announcing that the company has launched an internal investigation against Christian Horner and is taking the matter very seriously, evident by the fact that they hired an external independent investigator to look into the matter.

In light of the recent events, Jack Izzard, the PR boss and CEO of Rhizome Media, drew parallels between Geri’s case and Victoria Beckham’s case by saying, “If they’re confident that the allegations are baseless and that the independent investigation will vindicate Mr Horner, they could put on a public show of marital unity like Geri’s fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham did when it emerged her husband David had been having an affair.”

He has cautioned Halliwell that her decision to support her husband may cause irreparable harm to her public image which was once emblematic of Girl Power.

On the other hand, according to a recent tweet from the Daily Star, the situation has weighed in heavily on the former Spice Girl and she has been “too upset to talk” to anyone since allegations were made against Horner. The video clip explained, “A source told the Daily Mail, ‘Geri seems to be simply too upset to engage with anyone. Just lots of tears. Horner is facing a lengthy interrogation today, which was initially thought to be held at Red Bull Racing’s headquarters in Milton Keynes.
