By now, it’s been made very clear by Rockstar that GTA 6 is strictly coming for PS5 and Xbox Series X\S consoles. At launch, it won’t be available on other platforms, which is something no passionate video game lover would want. Especially those who own handheld consoles like the extremely popular Nintendo Switch. The portable device is among those products that simply can’t handle Rockstar’s next big open-world epic.

While it’s a known fact that Nintendo Switch won’t get to have GTA 6 in any way whatsoever, one fan has recently made it possible. Specifically, an individual took to the social platform Reddit and posted a clip from the game’s trailer. However, the footage shared by them didn’t depict the realistic graphics of the footage. It was a demake of the GTA 6 trailer.

It seems like the intention of the Redditor behind making this GTA 6 trailer demake was to take a shot at Nintendo Switch’s hardware and how it will handle the game in case it ends up being released for the portable console. Looking at the demake for an imaginary version of Grand Theft Auto 6 on the Switch, one can think how much the devs will need to tone down every graphic-intensive detail in the game just to make it run on Nintendo’s device.

Maybe that’s the sole reason why Rockstar is planning to have GTA 6 on next-gen hardware only. Even products like PS4 and Xbox One won’t be getting the open-world title. Simply because they are incapable of handling all the advanced technology inserted by devs to make the game their best-looking project yet.

Is Grand Theft Auto 6 coming to PC?

While not having the game on old consoles – and even Nintendo Switch – is understandable, skipping the PC is something many players are upset about right now. Yes, this decade’s most anticipated video game will not be on PC! At least that’s the plan of Rockstar for the initial launch period.

Compared to consoles, a video game generally performs far better in all departments on a PC. That’s because there are various options to make the best possible upgrades to meet all kinds of requirements. For the uninitiated, Rockstar had even acquired a mod-making team called Cfx.re (popular for FiveM GTA V mod and RedM mod for RDR2) earlier this year.

Fans were sure that Rockstar would try to prioritize PC, above consoles, to add interesting elements to GTA 6. However, the devs potentially have no plans to offer the game for PC owners at launch. It will be interesting to see if there’s any other update on this situation in the coming months.
