Golf fans may agree that any golf-oriented movie was not better than ‘Caddyshack‘ in 1980. And fans have been waiting since then for another masterpiece to hit theatres soon.

According to the exclusive section of the film news website Above the Line, the Oscar-nominated actor Jonah Hill will play John Daly in his biopic. The movie hitting theatres will likely showcase Daly’s life, scandals, and golf achievements. And fans are well aware that there is no shortage of stories to use in the movie.

Fans might remember that ESPN once broadcasted an hour-long documentary based on Daly’s life called ‘Hit Hard’, which aired in 2016. But fans never got to see a feature movie on him until now.

Currently, there is no official name of the movie or the script, however, the film is listed under the upcoming projects section of Hill’s IMDB page. The excitement likely cannot be contained by Daly’s fans, but they will have to wait for more details.
The incredible journey to a biopic
John Daly has been on the PGA Tour since he started professional golfing in 1991. During his 31 years in golf on the PGA tour, he has registered five career wins under his name, along with the PGA Championship in 1991 and The Open Championship in 1995.

However, Daly did not manage to win the Masters but was able to finish third in 1993. In 2004, he claimed the title of PGA Tour’s Comeback Player of the Year after he got ranked in the world golf rankings.
