Tiger Woods’ dating life disclosed by Earl Woods

Now in his late 40s, Tiger Woods is presently dating Erica Herman. The celebrated golfer has been married once, to Swedish model, Elin Nordegren. However, his marriage ended after his much-publicized affairs came to light.

Despite his global status, not much is known about Woods’ dating life before turning pro. Being his closest confidant, his father had knowledge about his son’s relationships, which he decided to spill in an interview.

“He had one girlfriend in school and one in college,” he said. Woods senior then detailed his son’s relationship with his girlfriend in school, claiming her parents’ interference caused trouble.

“I didn’t think the one at school) was a bad idea. What I thought was a bad idea was what her family had in mind,” he said. But what did they have in mind? Tiger’s talents convinced them of his richness in the future, according to Earl Woods.

“They had determined that Tiger was going to make a lot of money. They were meaning to make the relationship a permanent relationship,” he revealed.

Did Earl Woods forbid Tiger from such a relationship?

According to Woods senior, he was able to see through the relationship, but his son couldn’t. As a parent, he could either block Tiger from meeting him further, or counsel him on his thoughts and let him take his own decision.

“As a parent I could do one of two things; I could forbid him to see her, or I could counsel him and then wait for him to grow and determine what was right for himself,” Earl Woods said. What did the father of the future golf great choose?

“I chose the latter. And that’s what happened to that relationship,” he revealed.

Tiger Woods married Elin Nordegren in a lavish wedding in October 2004. But in 2009, the golfer’s scandalous personal life became public, which broke their marriage. Now dating Herman, people speculate when he would be getting married to her.
