Suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, Mike Walker is currently not in the best phase of his health. However, despite often forgetting about things in his life, he remembers how much Justin Rose means to him. According to his daughter, Walker has been a fan of the golfer since Rose was just 17 years old and managed to tie for fourth place at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

Ever since then, both Sophie and her old man have been watching Justin Rose playing all his tournaments. The golf enthusiast mentioned watching Rose as he claimed 11 PGA Tour victories including the 2013 U.S. Open and 2018 FedExCup, along with 11 wins on the DP World Tour.
Fans saw the clip of the old man trying to hold back his tears after meeting his favorite athlete. And they could not resist commenting down their views about how humble the golfer was when he met Walker.

According to Sophie Walker, this was her father’s last visit to America. She mentioned that it was their fourth time at the PLAYERS Championship. And that they had no plans to travel so far off from home in the future. She also mentioned that it was no less than a surprise for her as well. Her boss at Sky Sports helped set the meeting up only to make it special for the old man. Well, despite his condition, it is safe to say that Walker might never forget this moment ever in his life.
