LIV Golf is set to kick off its first international and fourth overall event in Adelaide on Friday. The likes of Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, and more are set to headline the event.
Koepka, who, along with Mickelson, finished at T2 in the Masters, will start off on the first hole tomorrow alongside golfers Ian Poulter and Cameron Smith. On Thursday, however, the 4-time major champion treated his Instagram followers to a cheeky post, subtly taking a dig at his “mentions.”

Fans react to cheeky Brooks Koepka post ahead of LIV Adelaide
Brooks Koepka has been in sensational form in recent times. In the 2023 Masters, he finished at T2 after being edged out by Jon Rahm, taking home $1,584,000 in earnings. Now, the 32-year-old has set his eyes on the lucrative LIV Adelaide title.
The golfer, who has found himself in the middle of a handful of controversies recently, seemed to aim a jibe at his detractors in his new Instagram post. The golfer sports a deflated expression in his latest post, which he captioned “@ my mentions.”

His new photo has now incited hilarious reactions from fans. One fan cheekily responded, “Brooksy, bed time mate.” “You’re mentioned so much. The @pgatour may have to give you the PIP 😂,” commented another. The PGA Tour’s Player Impact Program (PIP) rewards golfers for enhancing engagement and publicity of the Tour.
Meanwhile, some fans lamented his loss to Jon Rahm at Augusta earlier this month. “I believe you will win a major again @bkoepka a lot of factors went wrong in Augusta and John Rahm was just slightly more consistent.” “The face when that birdie putt on 2 at Augusta burnt the edge. Pain,” reminded another.

The Florida native has won two LIV Golf events so far, emerging victorious at the LIV Orlando event ahead of Augusta.
