The final event of the 2023 Aramco Team Series is currently underway at the Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. However, what has caught the attention of the golf world was not the $1 million prize money that the event boasts but the effort the competition made for a larger-than-life cause — the Pink Ribbon Walk.

On account of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the European Tour decided to cooperate with the $700 billion-worth Public Investment Fund in a bid to increase people’s understanding of the same. As part of the program, everyone present in the event, including the spectators, caddies, players, and officials is invited to the Walk The Impact initiative to raise awareness for the campaign.

The 2km weave would take place around the club at 4 pm after Saturday’s play all the while allowing the participants to be part of a greater cause. For every contributor who finishes the walk, the series will donate “one prevention check-up courtesy of Dr Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group for one person to use.” Adding to the initiative, the challenging 14th par-3 hole at the course has been dubbed the “Pink Hole” in a bid to “captivate an impactful feel to the course” in honor of the Awareness campaign.

However, this is not the only initiative that the event is pledging for. The Aramco Team Series is also collaborating with a Vision 2030 project in a bid for a greener Riyadh!
