What was Lilia Vu’s backup plan at the Chevron Championship?

Vu has been in the news ever since she lifted the cup for the Chevron Championship on Sunday. The golfer made a whopping $765,000 out of the total $5.1 million purse at the tournament. And quite notably, it was one of the biggest moments in her career since she had never won a major tournament before.

However, despite all her preparation, Vu was not very sure about winning the game. And it was made clear with her recent statements at the JM Eagle LA Championship presser. As per the golfer, she already had plans for herself in case she couldn’t make it to the win. She explained how she missed her “8 o’clock flight on Sunday” due to a “delay from the light and thunder”. However, little did she know that she was going to end up playing that well.

“I finished pretty well,” she said. “Honestly, I thought if I was going to miss my flight, I was wanting to go to the Taylor Swift concert that night, and I ended up winning, so that was better than going to a Taylor Swift concert, I guess.” The famous American singing sensation is currently on tour and had a concert in Houston, TX on Sunday, the same day when Vu won the prestigious event. However, achieving such a huge milestone would have been any day better for the golf star than dancing all night in a concert.

How did Vu celebrate her victory?

Vu comes out as a pretty humble human being despite all her records and performances. And when asked if she did something to celebrate her big win, she mentioned going out with her family to their favorite restaurant, right before packing up for her current tournament.
