Bryson DeChambeau’s Undying Love for the Hogan Cap: Here’s Where It All Started

Bryson DeChambeau never fails to interest his fans. He grabs their attention timely with his admirable golfing skills. Adding to this, they are also deeply intrigued by his out-of-the-ordinary fashion choices. A striking example of the same is the Hogan cap which he has donned for a very long time now.

Why does Bryson DeChambeau love the Hogan Cap?

The Hogan Cap is another name for the well-known Ivy Caps. To be more specific, the Hogan Caps are flat and round in shape. They are famously called the Hogan cap because of the world-famous golfer, Ben Hogan. Hogan was a huge fan of this specific attire and was seen wearing one to most of his games.

Ben Hogan’s legacy is carried forward by Bryson  DeChambeau who is also a huge fan of the Hogan Cap. He has donned it since his teenage days and has also been seen wearing it in the early part of his career in golf. According to Golf Digest, “DeChambeau says he saw the cap in a pro shop when he was 13 and decided to pick one up, and it has become his signature look ever since.”

Bryson Dechambeau debuted on the PGA tour donning the infamous Hogan Cap. Ever since it has acquired a special mention while describing his personality. This distinguishes him from other golfers as this cap has links with the historically famous pro golfer Ben Hogan.

Moreover, Hogan has influenced many fans to bring back the Hogan Cap. Major brands like Puma are also endorsing the Hogan Cap off late.

Bryson DeChambeau’s recent change in style

However, lately, Dechambeau has been seen moving away from his long-time signature cap towards more of a baseball cap. This move according to Bryson is symbolic of turning a new page in his life. He said “As I’ve always said, I’m always evolving and changing and growing and adapting. I don’t know if it will be a thing to stay or if it pops up randomly. It just depends on what I feel like and what I’m comfortable with that week.”

We don’t know if the baseball cap is here to stay or not. All we know is that apart from Ben Hogan himself, the Hogan Cap now is also a signature piece for Dechambeau and will probably remain to be loved by him.
