In its efforts to make golf more inclusive, the PGA Tour has taken considerable steps to spread the game around the world. Some of those have bore fruit, which has resulted in talented golfers coming out of those regions. To give a glimpse of the sport’s development, the PGA Tour has come up with video footage, which focuses on Roger Sali’s approach to introducing golf to his natives. The post was shared by none other than Cheyenne Woods, the half-niece of golf legend, Tiger Woods.

Cheyenne Woods shares PGA Tour’s heart-touching story

On the back of her golf career and her relations with Tiger, Cheyenne Woods has a considerable fan following on social media. Indeed, her 156,000 followers are more than some of the other golfers on the circuit.

Using her reach on the internet, Woods shared a post from the PGA Tour which showcased the sport’s developments in the African country, Uganda. The footage is a brief trailer of the efforts of Roger Sali, a golfer from the country, trying to introduce the sport to the locals.

Evidently, Cheyenne Woods, who, like her half-uncle, has an African-American heritage, loved to see the PGA Tour’s new venture. “Love seeing how golf can change lives. Can’t wait to watch this,” she wrote in her story. She also praised Samuel Davis, who was involved in the production of the venture.

Who is Roger Sali and how is he popularizing golf?

A native of Uganda, Sali works as a caddie at a local golf resort by the name of Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa. While he had no experience playing the sport, Sali quickly fell in love with the game.

He decided to showcase his skills and spread the word about golf through the power of the internet. His trick-shot videos went viral, and so did his followers. The PGA Tour on the other side of the Atlantic soon took notice, inviting Sali to feature in their video.
