Despite all the criticism it received, Greg Norman’s LIV Golf had an unexpectedly successful season last year. In fact, according to the golf shark, tons of new players are already waiting in line to join the league this year. Notably, the pressure on the heads of Saudi professionals as well as officials seems to have gone down to a huge extent. Moreover, the league, which is often referred to as a “party”, seriously looked like one at Adelaide after the first round. However, famous LIV Golf rebel Ian Poulter took away all the attention of golf fans with his epic moves on the course.
Fans react to Ian Poulter’s crazy party mode
Poulter, 47, made a rather controversial decision by joining LIV Golf leaving his PGA Tour legacy behind. Although he was not the only one to make the transition, fans heavily scrutinized the player for his bold move. On the other hand, Poulter seemed to look at things practically without considering his fans’ opinions about him important. “This is the right decision for myself…for my family,” he said.

You can tell Poults was a teenager during the 90’s rave scene. There’s more to life than parties, there’s also after parties! 🙌@Luke_Elvy @IanJamesPoulter pic.twitter.com/SbFQBCY2NQ

The golfer also called shifting to LIV a “business decision”, however, he seems to be enjoying his time in the league a little too much. In a recent video shared by FlushingItGolf, the English pro can be seen standing on a chair and showing off some of his best dance moves getting everyone around him to cheer! It was around the same time when famous music producer Fisher was playing sick beats for the audience and even got Cameron Smith to do the ‘shoey’ tradition for LIV Golf fans. But Poulter seemed to be in his own little zone with a beer in one hand, and his phone in the other.
Ever since the video of the LIV defector went viral on social media, fans have been giving all kinds of reactions to it. However, golf enthusiasts are still not over the entire PGA Tour vs LIV Golf drama. Hence, their reactions came out to be mostly negative after watching the video. Here’s what some of them said:
And you wonder why there are no Workd ranking points for these exhibitions….🤣🤣🤣

That is a man enjoying himself, not worrying about where he is placed or how much prize money he will earn. (Fair play to him) BUT is that the Poulter who competed at the height of his game 🤔 Party Golf 🙄

Poulter’s views about the PGA Tour vs LIV Golf banter
The existence of LIV golf has brought along a clear divide between fans and professional golfers of both leagues. In fact, the situation has led to the end of several personal and professional relationships between golfers and officials. However, unlike most players, Poulter wants a rather peaceful conclusion to the scenario.

“The hope is that we can all co-exist,” he said. “I definitely shouldn’t be forced to walk away from the PGA Tour. It’s a shame”.
